I am going to hold off until the next paragraph my feelings about what qualifies as a "burger" so that we can all just gaze upon the gloriousness that is this Chicken "Burger" (the quotation marks are mine) as posted on food blog, Glorious Food and Wine. I like that it's a very up close and personal shot of the burger, but you know that the eater wasn't dining alone because of the burger in the background. I am always a fan of light-on-light, like the bun and the burger on a white plate against a white background.
Now, about that "burger" thing.
I do not have that issue that some people have about burgers' being made from only beef. Turkey burger? Tofu burger? Veggie burger? Those are all fine, but what do they have in common? The burger is a patty made of ground ingredients and is cooked either by grilling, broiling, or even in a saute/fry pan. It doesn't matter what's on the burger, nor does it matter what the burger is on (i.e. bun). Serving a gorgeous breaded breast of chicken on what looks like a hamburger bun is still a chicken sandwich, not a chicken burger.
Not picking on you, Andreea, or on your beautiful chicken! Just a little bit of personal venting!

in my opinon the term burger is a derivitive of hamburg, either the county in new york or the city in Germany but history tells us that many Claim the title but noone can prove it

Someone should tell the menu designers for Ruby Tuesday, they qualify anything within 2 pieces of bread or starch as a "burger." It's just not right.

The restaurants in hamburg started to sear it quickly on both sides. Thus, not only is a burger historically a dish made from ground meat, but it also should not be cooked all the way through.
Which makes me think that any burger that's ordered past medium isn't really a burger either!
