You could get your Happy Meal delivered

mcdonald's delivery
If you live in a developing country, that is: In the U.S., land o'plenty, so the golden arches will always remain a convenience as a drive-through window, but in cities that are congested and land is scarce, McDonald's has taken to delivery.

Where would you have to go to get your Big Mac and fries delivered right to your door with a delivery charge of anywhere from 50 cents to a dollar? Ronald McDonald commissions fleets of delivery people in cars or on motorbikes in cities like Manila, Taipei, Cairo, for a total of about 25 cities, with a half dozen more in the works.

Really, I think L.A. is congested enough of a city that McDonald's delivery could work here. I can't tell you how many times I've woken up on a weekend morning craving an Egg McMuffin, but was a little too, uh, "dehydrated" to get in the car and get to a McDonald's before 10:30AM!

Mc Donald's delivery qq I think that trend would work great! Not only at Mc Donald's-but please add many other regular & trendy eatry spots as well, due to the techo era we all live in(and us baby boomers getting of age)a great number of us could use the convience it offers.Although I cannot but wonder from existing and seeing-is America{and the many others of this world}truely ready for the morally and unethical attitudes that will result from this marketing idea such as:hike in prices, pollution in our communities, and for those plagued with unhealthy dietary habits qq. Yet-it sure beats having to get dressed-warm auto up just to grab a Happy Meal for ur kids or your midnight munchies. I say go for it--JOBS for the American citizen!

A boon for the housebound - whether temporary or permanent. For those without transportation and especially the elderly.

Also get off your damn high horses about giving a big corporation free advertising and support why can't people just support a company that is doing well instead of always criticizing ang trying to demean it. I'm sure if any of you owned a Mcdonalds you would want to make money. At the end of the day it is a way to pay the mortgage just like any other job.

With gas prices the way they are, I can't imagine them going through all that trouble for someone who simply wants a Big Mac. Where I can see an advantage is when ordering for a lot of people, in effect meetings or large families. It's a nightmare to order drive-through for a large group, and it reaaly holds up the line.

People have issues with the CORPORATION, not the chain managers. You're probably (I am speculating, though) that like anyone else, those workers are simply trying to get by. However, the corporation cares nothing for the people and any "small town" feeling--but they pay big bucks to make it seem so. They produce cheap, low-quality food filled with chemicals and hire cheap, min. wage labor so it costs less for them and in turn grants them astronomical profits. They don't care about overconsumption and they certainly don't care about YOU, the customer. Corporations like that care about one thing: money (yours) and how much of it they can get.
