We've covered some odd food and drink products here at Slashfood, from Lamb & Mint Potato Chips to Pizza Flavored Beer to Turkey and Gravy Soda, but this might be one of the weirdest. They're Pickle Sickles: popsicles made with pickle juice.
Now, I like interesting food products, and I'm even interested in those Kool-Aid Pickles Joanne talked about a couple of months ago, but popsicles made out of pickle juice? Yeah, that's refreshment: the ice cold feel of a popsicle for those hot summer days, only with the taste of pickles! Check out the site though. The ordering page is blank right now, but there's a "Pickle Sickle Song" to keep you entertained.
If anyone tries these, please let us know how they are.

WOW. I have been known to love the juiciest sourest pickles, or with some hot spice even, but this just sounds a little bit more off the cuff than I could handle!! Funny website.

I live in TX and, while I haven't tried the brand pictured, I have had a pickle-flavored popsicle from a local business. It was delicious. I've also had a pickle-flavored snowcone. Highly recommended for the pickle-lover.

This is similar to a "treat" one of my friends from Washington DC told me about. When he was a kid, he and his friends would take a large dill pickle and insert a peppermint stick into the center and eat it so they would get peppermint stick and pickle in every bite. I actually witnessed this but I did not try it.

A local high school football coach keeps pickle juice on the sidelines for kids who suffer a muscle spasm during a game. A few swallows and the muscles relax, or so he claims. Maybe this is just what he needs to keep the players cool and charley horse free during a game.
