For the 4th: 22 different ways to make iced tea

Earlier this week I did a post about my love of iced tea. Not real iced tea, but the fake instant stuff with tons of sugar and lemon. A lot of people couldn't understand how I could like the fake stuff. But I stand by my taste.

However, I feel as if I should give the opposing view too, and since it's almost July 4 and it's already hot and humid, how about a list of several different iced teas? I'm pretty sure there's something here for everyone, whether you want non-alcoholic iced tea or something with a little extra kick.

For non-alcoholic drinks, you could try the Apple Honey Iced Tea or Boston Iced Tea, which utilizes cranberry juice. Want something different than the usual lemon-based iced tea? How about one made with fresh ginger?

The alcoholic drinks include Bengal Tiger Tea, which has cognac in it. Or how about the Chai Naya, which includes vodka.

Personally, alcoholic iced tea sounds very wrong to me. I prefer my iced tea to be very smooth and cold and relaxing. I think alcoholic would just mess it up. So here's one recipe I think I'll try, the Cranberry Orange Iced Tea:

2 quarts iced tea
1 can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar

In a large pitcher, stir together the cranberry juice and the orange juice. Add iced tea, and then mix in sugar. Continue stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Put back in the fridge and let chill through and serve over ice.
