Well, there's two words I never thought I'd see in the same name of a drink, "hickory" and "lemonade."
This drink over at AOL Food seems to combine the best of a summer barbecue and the refreshing offerings at a kid's lemonade stand! Not sure how easy it is to get smoked cherries where you are (I never heard of them before this, except when describing wine), but it's a main ingredient. Recipe after the jump.
Hickory Smoked Cherry & Bourbon Lemonade
2 quarts lemonade (fresh or from concentrate)
1 cup triple sec or orange curacao
2-3 cups bourbon (to taste)
1 cup smoked cherries
Pour over ice.

I'm the one who wrote the article, and I'll tell ya - the smoked cherries came about in a moment of madness. I was spending 7 hours smoking a brisket anyhow, and it seemed a waste not to use all the grate space. I have a cherry obsession (and the tattoo to prove it), so it seemed like a natural fit. They are HEAVENLY. If you ever have even just a couple of hours of smoker time to spare, make it a priority.
Must dash - gotta go check the honeydew halves on the top rack. And no - that's not a euphemism.
