Hump Day Happy Hour: Blueberi Stoli

stoli blueberi
A few weeks ago, I went to an event at a "pop-up" space in LA called the Stoli Hotel. The space has been designed to look and feel like a hotel, with various "rooms" decorated in themes associated with the flavors of Stoli Vodka.

The fashion show aside (for which I was supposed to be there, but let's be real - I was there for the Stoli), I tried a few drinks, one of which was the Blueberi Stoli. The blueberry-flavored vodka has been out for almost a year now, but it was my first time trying it since I'm pretty loyal to my Absolut Citron.

To get a real taste of the vodka, I just ordered the Stoli Blueberi with soda. The bartender added fresh blueberries as garnish (nice touch, but not necessary). Though the blueberry flavor was definitely there, it was an odd taste for me to have in a cocktail. If any fruit at all, I'm used to citrus or tropical flavors, saving blueberry for things like yogurt and muffins. It wasn't un-drinkable, but I doubt I'd order Stoli Blueberi again.

I haven't tried the Blueberi, but it sounds delicious.

Having tried the Absolut Pear, I found it to have a more chemical pear smell to it, vs. taste--which the GG does have. I'm waiting for Stoli to jump on the bandwagon, as I like the flavor in their Orange. And now I'm going to have to try a Blueberi and Lemonade...thanks for that tip, Kent!
