Maple Bacon Cupcakes with Maple Frosting

maple bacon cupcakesThis might be the most oddly delicious sounding thing I've seen all week: Maple Bacon Cupcakes with Maple Frosting. Does this make it okay to eat a cupcake for breakfast?

Garrett, of food blog Vanilla Garlic, got some help from fellow food blogger Shuna of Eggbeater, and created these cupcakes. Brown sugar and maple syrup make the cupcakes sweet (naturally) and minced bacon is what gives it the salt.

We have to know now that bacon isn't just for breakfast anymore. Heck, it's not just for lunch or dinner either. Bacon works as dessert!
