Well, maybe once in a great while, but don't make it a daily thing, OK?
HungryGirl.com has the list of the five summer drinks that will destroy your diet. Sometimes we don't think of the massive amount of calories and/or sugar and/or fat that are in those seductive cold drinks. For example, Krispy Kreme's Mocha Dream Chiller has 670 calories, 28 grams of fat, and 58 grams of sugar (that's for the 12 oz). Dunkin Donuts' Vanilla Bean Coolatta has 440 calories, 17 grams of fat, and 69 grams of sugar.
The other drinks on the list are from Starbucks, Fatburger, and Dairy Queen.

At that time I was told that 25 years later, 2005, everyone would start realizing how bad aspartame was and that a *new* artificial sweetener would enter the scene. Yep, sucralose. I think all of it's bad, though saccharin has been around for 150 years and is probably the safest (I won't use any of the stuff).

Plain ice water (heaven forbid!)with lemon is best

Try the Minute Maid brand of the water beverage. There are two flavors, berry and tropical, I think.

This is for MRG in case it helps...years ago we discovered accidentally that my daughter has an allergy to pears, because she would throw up (with no previous fever or other sign of illness) after having the pouch type of drink you mentioned and some other juices (prepared and frozen, where we added water.) You may want to try to narrow down which types of juices she can keep down (just orange, just lemonade...each fruit separately) to see if there's an allergy there. We discovered that many juices that have nothing to do with pears, have added pear juice in them. Hope this helps, and hope your child doesn't suffer from this any longer.

Oh, right, I forgot.
If it's in a book or on the internet, it must be true.

You are right it is stupid to keep using something if it makes you sick. I am very carefull with what I eat or drink now because of that.

I will definitely look into the items posted- some of them seem to fit sooo well! I got spooked by the dog food thing, and how long it took for people to know, so before they started posting up all the stuff about other imported china items! I posted my comment about about capri sun.... 3 days later my dog died from the china/gluten debacle! So I hadn't gotten back to this site! That has been over a month, and after reading "for every Dog, and Angel" we are now looking for an Australian heeler puppy- but then that would be a different posting somewhere else?? ;-)!

For me and my family, I wouldn't eat food products that had items that came from china, I would like to impact their wallets, especially since they think so little of US! I would stay with USA ! (I know, it can happen here..too!)
But I would prefer to pick my poison!( or at least who gave it to me!)
