The cure for insomnia: lots of beer

Funny piece up at Cracked.com. Jay Pinkerton has discovered the cure for insomnia, and it involves drinking several Old Milwaukee Tall Boys. It's good for several reasons. One, you get to drink a bunch of beer, and two, it's not like there are several different steps you have to do in order or memorize and there aren't any pills to take, you just drink beer. As Jamie Oliver says, easy peasy (spelling?).

Of course, this is the part of the post where I have to say DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

There is also advice on how to know if you're drinking your beer responsibly and what you can do and/or think about while you're drinking.

Going to sleep drunk doesn't provide good sleep. Alcohol makes it difficult to enter and remain in REM, Alpha, and Delta states so you don't get as much actual rest as you would with less sleep, alcohol free.

My roommate used to drink literally a case of Bud after work, until he passed out at ten or eleven (we had to be at work at 7, doing construction), but he always saved one or two beers for the drinkers hour. He would come out of his bedroom, take all the food out of the freezer, stick his head in the freezer, and drink his last beer. Then he went back to bed.

I will say he worked very hard when he was hung over. Great guy, lotta fun, stone alkie. Too bad.
