I'm not quite sure what to make of Alice Wang's set of two wine glasses. In the box, they look a little strange because one of them looks like it was taken out of the fire a little too soon. It's tilted! But it's tilted for a reason - so Fido can sip his wine, too.Granted, I am not sure it's actually safe for a dog to drink wine, but the idea of the Pet Plus Wine Glasses is cute for a pet-parent and his or her pup to share in a drink together, lounging out on the veranda. Just pour yourself the Pinot, and fill his glass with water.
The Pet Plus Wine Glasses are available from designer Alice Wang's website.

Is this for real? Or is it a joke? If it's real, then it's kind of painful to look at, in the same way that watching The Office is a little painful. Kind of like it makes you embarrassed for humanity.

Alcohol is toxic to both dogs and cats and can kill them. Of course this can be used for water, but I'm sure that some people will think it means alcohol is OK for pets. And anyone, who actually has a pet, knows that a boisterous dog or any cat I know, would have that over and broken in about 2 minutes flat.

Not to mention grapes and raisins are lethal to dogs - I'd assume wine is too, regardless of the alcohol content. Pour choice for an ad idea.

My dog drank wine one time. It got up on the table and lapped it up. it didn't need a doggy wine glass. It got so sh*t faced it couldn't stand up and then it passed out. It is my daughters dog.a little Bichon... I'm surprised the stupid thing didn't die.

Even if wine was good for my dog, or if I wanted to consider this thing for water, I still wouldn't use it. My dog's tongue would knock this thing over on the first lap! Glass around unpredictable dogs... I don't think so!

Well, who says you have to put WINE in the cute little glasses? You could put water or, as in a previous comment, ice cream. (No chocolate though, of course. It is toxic to cats and dogs.) Our Great Dane loved vanilla. One of my cats loves ranch dressing. Vickie

Grapes are toxic to dogs just as chocolate is. Owners beware........ shame on designers not checking into toxicity before creating such a product.

It is definitely dangerous to give your dogs wine. Grapes are bad for a dog, and they can actually poison your dog. Go ahead and fill their wine glass with water.

I also agree with Charlotte. Relax people. And who said that the "wine glass" can't be made of plastic? I think most pet parents are smart enough to not put glass down where thier pet can break it if thier pet is that wild and crazy.(of course there are always a few that don't have common sense enough to know better)

Are we this starved for new innovations that we've stooped to this level? But there are a few fools out there that will buy this junk. As for 'pet parents' being creepy - this concept is helpful to those who either can't have children or aren't at a point in their life where it's feasible. I've seen many couples with 'pet children' who, when a child is born, start thinking of their pet as a pet rather than a child. But in the meantime, it's comforting for them to 'parent' a pet, so what?
