The 7 most sugar-filled drinks

Sunkist orange drinkThe Diet Blog has a list of the seven drinks that have the most sugar in them. I don't drink any of these (though I did go through a weird phase several years ago when I was drinking Sunkist Orange Drink all the time) because I drink diet soda and tea, and if I do have juice it's low-sugar orange juice or Ruby Red Light.

Sunkist Orange does make it on the list, at No. 4, with 87.5 grams of sugar in a 20 oz bottle (35 grams in the 8 oz). Other drinks on the list include Minute Maid Cranberry Grape and Sobe Adrenaline Rush. I'll let you click on the link above to find out what number one is.

Read what readers say at the link too, some interesting comments there.

I say again, wow.

America needs to find flavors other than "sweet" or "water" for its bottled drinks. Japan, for example, has a lot of unsweetened bottled teas. I didn't really like them at first, but now I find I like them better than sodas.

I had been ''poisoned'' by it years ago, after many years I finally discovered why. People cannot trust what is on the market to be safe. Research what you put into your body.

Another thing to mention about Sunkist Orange, diet or regular, it contains caffiene while most other orange soda's do not. Don't give it to children, between the sugar and caffiene, it is too much of a rush for my kids.

When I look back and see that I was drinking a 20 oz Pepsi a day, and the effect and erosion pop can have, let alone the sugar, it amazes me. I honestly don't think I will ever drink soda again.

I gave up soda and even juices in general about 2 years ago, lost my gut along with about 15 lbs, because otherwise I'm thin, I don't diet. Last summer I wore a bikini and I just bought two smaller ones to wear this summer and I'm the mother of 3 and about to turn 40 this year! giving up soft drinks was the best thing I ever did, I have a lot more energy and feel sooo much better!

'06 after being in the hospital for two weeks, I decided to finally give it up due to it causing anxiety and heart palpitations. I was still drinking Sprite until I realized how bad any carbonated drinks full of sugar are. So I have weaned myself off that as well. I only drink green/white tea's, lots of water and ocassionally juice as it has known health benefits. I try to stick to organic as much as possible. With this change I feel almost 100% better.

Soda bad. Tea good. :)

I can't drink it because it gives me palpitations. Went through a bunch of heart tests, found nothing, stopped the caffeine, and the palpitations and discomfort stopped almost immediately.

Shame on you! Please don't tell me to stop drinking 100% grape juice. I drink it like water, and I KNOW from family research that it helps my heart. Feedback please...

* soda will clean the stains out of your toilet * soda will remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers * soda will remove corrosion from car battery
terminals * soda will remove grease from clothes * Active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid - it will dissolve a nail in 4 days * It
also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the increase in osteoporosis * More on the email but does anyone know if this stuff is true or just myths?

I also agree about soda and juice being bad for the teeth. My daughter had a mouthful of cavities two dentist visits in a row costing over $1,500 each time. The dentist told her to quit drinking juice and regular soda and to drink more water. She switched to diet soda and diet green tea and drinks more water(and a diff. toothpaste). Last visit---no cavities---Yea!!!
