While we occasionally post about products on Slashfood, whether cool gadgets, beautifully designed dinnerware, or some other hot new item, we very rarely talk about actual shopping.
That's changing tonight because this is something that cannot be kept to ourselves. Amazon.com has a 10-piece Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 10-Piece Cookware Set that's originally priced at $400, on sale for $149. That, my stainless steel cookware-less friends, is a steal, particularly since you can get this shipped for free!
Thanks to Elise of Simply Recipes for the heads up.

It's an okay set. Wedge bottom, not fully clad, but a good starter set.

I got this exact set for my birthday and it is PHENOMENAL; my previous "decent" set of pots and pans was an Ultrex set my mother bought me in college, which was 1) entirely nonstick, which sucked in the saucepans if I wanted to say, operate my metal handmixer to make mashed potatos or whip up a sugar/egg yolk mixture to make ice cream (the black coating would flake off into the food 2) falling apart.
After getting this, I threw away all my Ultrex stuff; I just picked up a new non-stick egg/crepe pan for $5.99, and now all I need is a decent saucier and my pan set is complete!
