Cassanova may beg to differ, but according to the research of Dr. David Lewis of Mind Lab, chocolate causes a more intense buzz than kissing, "A buzz that, in many cases, lasted four times as long as the most passionate kiss."
The study was done on couples in their 20s who wore scalp electrodes and heart monitors.
It is already known that chocolate has an effect on the brain, but the key to getting that long-lasting buzz is letting it melt slowly on the tongue.

But shouldn't you guys, who blog almost hourly, have made even the tiniest comment about the carnage at Virginia Tech yesterday? The food world isn't completely immune to the outside world, but maybe you think you are.....

While I am sure everyone has an opinion on what happened, not every blog is a place to express it. Were you bothered when there was no comment on the most recent bombings in Iraq, stocks plummeting, gas prices, etc.? This is a food blog, and I applaud them for remaining as such.

And Heidi..while I do agree that editing is important, why so snipey/serious? Ok, Casanova died in 1798...it was a joke, ha ha?

There's no current LIVING lover she could have referenced with their name spelled correctly? I'm a fan of this site and I just hate seeing the writing slide downhill like this.

i mean i've never read this thing before, but why would you bring up VTech? i mean if it really if a food blog, that has nothing to do with this. nobody is being insensitive they are simply doing what they are suposed to, writing articles about food and i personally think this article is funny.
i agree with the fact that being in a lab may not put you in the best mood, but hey a kiss is a kiss and chocolate is chocolate. you cant mess with science

Come on... you shouldn't be here if you want to be reading about Virginia Tech. Besides, it's on the news like 24/7.
