A photo menu of McDonald's around the globe

mcdonald's arabia
We just can't seem to post enough about McDonald's here on Slashfood, can we?

You may not learn much about the world from a Big Mac and large fries, but if you take a peek at the menus in McDonald's restaurants in other countries, you might get a peek into their cultural cuisine. Sure, it's not the greatest lesson in the world, but it's a start. Blog Fjetsam has a list with images of just a few things that are offered in other countries:
  • Japan - Ebichiki is shrimp McNuggets, Ronald's take on shrimp tempura?
  • Japan - Tamago Double Mac - a burger with the addition of sweet egg omelet traditionally served as sushi, tamago
  • Israel - McShawarma is turkey shawarma on flatbread
  • Middle East - McArabia is grilled chicken sandwich on Arab bread with lettuce, tomatoes and Arab sauce
  • Greece - The Greek Mac
  • Netherlands - McKroket, with a croquette
  • Singapore - McSpaghetti -- yeah, not Italy, but Singapore!
  • France - McBeer

No need to mention the name. After yrs. of eating this fast food we in this country are FAT, period. We seem to salute the fast food companies for doing a great job on their menu's but they are really killing all of us slowly with trans fat etc. I really think our gov. should step in and mandate that these companies be health and weight friendly. This of course is my opinion. Thanks

I eat at Mcds once a week and enjoy it. I also eat my share of fruits, veggies and god forbid, steak as well as run 20-25 mi/wk and lift weights three times/wk for 20-25 min at a time. I suppose you are one of those that believes government should be involved in all aspects of our lives. For the majority that are fat it is a simple solution, close your piehole and get on a treadmill.

They have a 'rice burger', which has two rice 'buns' (some kind of sticky rice molded into bun shape), & some kind of vegi burger with sauce inbetween. 'Interesting' when hot, but if you get a cool one, it's pretty yucky!

I can't stand the 'blame everyone else' attitude. I love eating Mcd's but I eat it in moderation(you know that weird self control thing)and I'm not fat. Cows are here to eat, not gonna sympathize with you there.

My sister went to Spain about 15 yrs ago and she said they served beer, which I thought was so funny.
