With what do you top your popcorn?

rosemary popcorn
Food blog Family Style Food recently posted a recipe for making a delicious popcorn flavored with rosemary. I am not a huge rosemary fan, but the post got me to thinking about other ways to flavor popcorn besides the usual melted butter and salt. My friends think I'm slightly odd for sprinkling my popcorn with salt and black pepper, but I can't see why it's any odder than Salt and Pepper flavored Kettle Chips. I'm pretty sure there are other ways people flavor their popcorn that's infinitely more interesting. I mean come on, we just saw bacon popcorn, right?

So, do you sprinkle or flavor your popcorn with something slightly out of the ordinary?

I live in Santa Cruz Californina, and here at the local art house movie theatre The Nickelodeon, they have a shaker full of nutritiuos yeast powder next to the salt.....and I will admit with some butter and salt it does taste good. Even though my fiance tends to heap it on...she finds it delicous.

While I was in Germany, I enjoyed it when they added suger to the popcorn....just like kettle corn, savory and sweet.

Lemon pepper (which includes salt in most versions)
Salt and cayenne pepper
Salt and hot chili powder
Bay Seasoning

Still haven't found the perfect answer. I want spicy, salty, and tasty. Sometimes I add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the melted butter---just a little.

salt and pepper
cayenne and cumin (heavy on the cayenne, I like spice)
or Old Bay Seasoning

1) nori furikake (nori, salt, sugar, sesame seeds), ground up a bit with a mortar and pestle. I just buy little jars of furikake, but there's an expensive Hawaiian microwave version also.

2) Truffle salt, sometimes with additional parmesan.
