For all the Harry Potter fans, a cake

Harry Potter 7 Cake
My friends, I have a confession (bragging rights?) to make.

I am not a fan of Harry Potter like the entire rest of the literate world.

Sure, I read the very first book. I thought it was amusing. Heck, I even made a tortilla espanole in his honor. But after that, I read no more. It just wasn't for me. It is just a novelty.

However, I do know that there are millions of fans of the little wizard who have been expectantly awaiting the release of the newest edition of the book, and if you just can't wait until this July, maybe you can keep yourself occupied with a cake that looks like the book. I'm not even sure what flavor the cake is since it's only a photo, but for some reason, "harry Potter" says "chocolate" to me.

I don't see why someone would think to eat a cake shaped like a book in the first place. That is just stupid. No, no, no cakes like this one should be just looked at or shown off at a Harry Potter themed birthday party or like a 'Two weeks till the book comes out' celebration.

Anywho, I think the cake is good-- for some weird cake competition where you decorate it and what not. It seems like a waste of time to eat it. But I highly doubt the kid would cry. Those little kids go crazy for Harry Potter. They'd love it. But no one over the age of 15 (at least no one normal) would be thrilled to have it at their party.

As for the book itself, I'm looking forward to it. They are really addicting (first, second, and fourth are bad, though).

P.S. I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!! ;-)

I am in my 40's, I love Harry Potter. I have all the books and movies and will be at Barnes and Noble on June 20th to pick up my pre-ordered copy of the newest book dressed as Professor McGonagal. Kudo's to whomever took the time to make this wonderful cake.

I'm above 15 and I LOVE the Harry Potter books; if a friend ever bought me a cake for my birthday shaped like the book I'd be thrilled. XD I want the top third(1/3)/fourth(1/4) of the cake!!

you should take a picture looking down on to the top of the cake. Just my opinion, but I think it might look at bit more appetizing that way. I can't wait till the book is released....I'll probably read it three times through without taking breaks :] Kudos to the cake baker. It looks wonderful.

(i've read the 1st and 3rd book their not half bad but as another person commented those book types are just not for me) anyway i just wanted to say that and i also think the cake has high definition quality!-lol

P.S-all cakes or most cake are square shaped and circle shape as jenni commented so NY that just shows your stupidity-no offenese but its kind of true espically if it's coming from a 12 year old!-lol. sharpen up on ur shapes and sizes of things before you comment on them...:P

Wow... even I would have given up reading Harry Potter if I had started with the (meant for second-graders) first book... of course an adult cannot be pulled into that world. The 5th book deals with way more mature topics (death, romance, adulthood...namely how adults are not perfect) that makes it easier to be sucked in. Ugh. I find it so sad when I know someone is missing out. :(

I probably would eat the cake if it was lemon-y inside.
