I am not a tea drinker -- I would definitely consider myself a coffee addict at three to four cups by noon -- but when I saw this post at Arghyle, I almost considered going out to buy Ineeka teas. Blogger Sal says the tea was good, nothing particularly special, but it was the design of the tea bag that got mine (and his) attention. The tea leaves are not loose, but in individual tea bags that open up with paper arms that can attach to the sides of your cup like a fiter over which you can pour your hot water. So you get the benefit of loose tea leaves, but the convenience of individual bags. Brilliant!

What an absolute waste. It's a tea bag. Tea in a bag. You pour water over the ones with the strings too, don't you? You're still going to end up with a messy wet paper bag to dispose of in the end.
You want loose tea, buy loose tea.

And not the best tasting tea either. I bought several different kinds of Ineeka tea and everyone of them was ordinary at best. Basically a lot of hype of the packaging and not enough substance inside.

Ditto....what an absolutely idiotic use of technology. We add millions of tons of waste to dumps in the US by just teabags alone. This is coming from an ex-package marketing person. I once believed that function and innovation was great...now, it has become very clear to me that it is about how to get someone to buy something that they don't necessarily want, and pay much more than it is really worth.
I for one would rather spend my money on good tea, not 'cool' ideas!

Argh. I wish this product would stop getting advertised. This is over packaging at its worst, we need to stop being so wasteful.
