Have you ever had to quickly run to your computer to use google or had to search through the indices of a few cookbooks to look for equivalent measure conversions? If so, you'll probably like this idea from a practical standpoint, and if not, you might like it from an artistic one. This Equivalent Measure wall transfer is easily applied to a kitchen wall or cabinet by rubbing the design with the included burnishing tool. Once on, it is permanent and can easily be washed without rubbing off, although it won't damage the wall in any way. It lists common equivalencies that most cooks will need to reference from time to time and has a graphic of lightly colored measuring spoons in the background, which gives it a slightly "country" feel and prevents it from looking like you simply decided to write on your wall. It measures 14" x 19" and comes in light or dark brown.
If you have neat writing or are reasonably artistic, you might want to consider skipping the $70 expense and trying to do it yourself.

Interesting idea, but the conversions are silly. The conversion of T to 1/4 C and 1/3 are useful, if imprecise, but the rest are either very obvious or obscure or unnecessary. How often do you see 16 T and even if you did, isn't the guide up to 1/3 C enough to figure it out? This would be great if it had some more obscure conversions.

I suppose if you're doubling or tripling a recipe, the T=>c conversions might be useful... still, the conversions that madden are usually issues like what to substitute for buttermilk, whether x grams of something will reliably be 1/4 cup, how European gas marks translate to Fahrenheit, how many egg whites you need to replace a full egg, and whether "cooking rice, water's twice" applies to a particular sort of rice.
Meeting my needs would require a large kitchen, all of it marked up with notes.

This thing is pretty close to hideous, and almost as near to useless. How many readers didn't know that a tablespoon is three teaspoons? Hands?
For seventy bucks (!), you'd be far better off buying a digital kitchen scale that does metric conversion, and pocketing the $45 you'll have left over.
