Drinkable Desserts winners announced

We've been following the Baileys Drinkable Desserts contest for several weeks now, in which both professional and amateur mixologists could put together their most inventive concoctions and put them up for public voting, with the hopes of winning the grand prize of a trip to New York City for two for a private cooking class in the Gourmet Cooking Arts Center with Chef de Cuisine, Jennifer Day. The contest coincided with the launch of Bailey's two new flavored liqueurs, Baileys Mint Chocolate and Baileys Caramel. The liqueurs proved to be good choices for baking, as well as for making cocktails, but some of our favorite entries included the Caramel Apple Pie-Tini, The Baileys Vanilla Bean and I Want S'More.

The contest just finished up and the two winners have been announced: Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake in Mint Condition (amateur, pictured) and Mocha Mint Bavarian (pro). The recipe are after the jump.

Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake in Mint Condition
2.5 oz Baileys® Mint Chocolate
0.5 oz Smirnoff® Black Cherry Vodka
2 tsp cheesecake pudding & pie mix
Dark chocolate shavings

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add Baileys®, Smirnoff®, instant pudding mix, and shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass. Float whipped cream on top of drink and sprinkle with shaved chocolate. Garnish with mint sprig and a black cherry.

Mocha Mint Bavarian
1 1/4 oz Baileys® Mint Chocolate
3/4 oz double espresso vodka
1/2 oz Godiva® white chocolate liqueur
2 oz half-n-half
Sprig of mint

Start with a cocktail shaker 3/4 full of ice. Add first 3 ingredients. Shake vigorously. Add in half-and-half (light cream). Gently stir.
Drizzle dark chocolate into martini glass. Pour drink into martini glass. Garnish with three espresso beans in the center of martini. Place the stem of mint sprig in between espresso beans. Sprinkle white chocolate shavings around the rest of the martini.
