Dole has issued a recall on cartons of cantaloupes in the Eastern US and Quebec, Canada, after discovering the fruit tested positive for salmonella. Approximately 6000 cartons of the Costa Rican-grown fruit were distributed to wholesalers between the dates of February 5th though 8th, though no reports of illness have yet come in. Though I don't know how this will help those that bought individual cantaloupes, the cartons they were packaged in were dark brown with red lettering and have a 13-digit number on them with the tenth digit of 2. If you think you may have purchased some, you can contact the store where you got them, or Dole directly at 1-800-232-8888.
Though a salmonella infection can be fatal, the most common symptoms are diarrhea, fever, dehydration, abdominal pain and vomiting.

I do NOT come to see a woman breastfeeding. If I wanted to buy a Boppy, I would. You don't have to show THAT usage of it. (Although I will say, it's inclusion in the cantaloupe article is funny....melons or melons?)

Okay EY, I watch TV (particularly the Food Network) to see entertaining and informative programs and am bombarded with commercials that show everything from hemmorhoid creams, provocative underwear, birth control devices, prescription drugs, ad nauseum. These are the folks with the money to pay for the shows and our Slashfood, so I guess we'll just have to rise above the subject matter and either ignore them or tolerate them.
I do not find a picture of a breastfeeding mother to be offensive...in fact, I wish the Boppy had been around years ago when I brest fed my babies.

Very confusing....

This is all a plot by Mexican field workers to poison the "GRINGO" food supply, thereby rendering us helpless as they march across the face of this nation on their way to total domination. Vincente Fox, George Bush and Hugo Chavez are the TRIAD OF SIN who are plotting to destroy the American lifestyle and conquer this nation. Why spend billions on bombs and nuclear weapons when we can be brought to our destruction by bagged salad; tainted spinich and now the dreaded poison cantelopes!! OH THE HUMANITY!! How will we ever repel the Godless hoardes who would destroy our traditions and way of life, as we sit on the toilets of the nation, held prisoners there by the evils of tainted cantelope!!
A more diabolical plot could only be formulated at the seventh level of HELL!!
