When we've seen ultra-expensive desserts and cocktails in the past and they spring up everywhere from New York City to London, but it was surprising to hear of the $1,000 brownie dessert at Brulee: The Dessert Experience, in The Quarter at Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey because Atlantic City has long been thought of as a more budget-minded alternative to other resorts and casinos. This pricey treat is a reflection of the fact that developers in AC want it to be the Las Vegas of the East Coast.
Frankly, the concept does not sound that appealing or romantic - especially if you have ever glanced at the chocolate-coated teeth of someone eating a fudgy brownie. Only three servings of the decadent dessert have been sold in the past year.

Gold? Isn't that considered a heavy metal? Famed in many police and medical drama's as the favorite way to kill someone. Eating metal is NOT my idea of a good time...

That is completely ridiculous. However, there's no accounting for the tastes of the decadently wealthy.

Gold flake/leaf/dust when used in foodstuffs is simply for decoration and decadence. Since it is an inert substance to cells of the human body, it has no effects and is simply excreted.

That looks like a fat cat Vanderbilt sorta yummy desert. I wouldn't drop a grand on that, but chocolate and alcohol - hell yeah I would eat that.

As you can see from the $1000, Atlantic City has once again become the premier vacation destination on the East Coast. The beaches have never been cleaner, there's world-class shopping now and now the city offers a dining and nightlife experience that ranks with the days when the Rat Pack entertained regularly here. Places like The Pier, The Quarter and the Borgata offer and amazing array of restaurants and nightlife options, from sushi and sports, to dessert and dancing. What's more, there are a few casino hotels located on the Boardwalk that offer awesome rates. I always, ALWAYS stay at the Tropicana (home to The Quarter) because the hotel is simple, conveniently located, and always offers great rates. You'll find the Trop has quite a list of amenities too http://www.reservediscountrooms.com/atlantic-city-nj/tropicana-casino-and-resort.html.
