I am obsessed with a coffeemaker, and I don't even drink coffee.
My roommate bought the Keurig B70, and it's great. I think it's the platinum edition, all sleek and shiny and modern. It's a single serving machine, using the individual K-cups (my roommate went crazy and bought a dozen different things to make in it - Timothy's, Ghiarardelli hot cocoa, Celestial Seasonings tea, Green Mountain coffee). To be honest, I'm using it mostly to get hot water for my tea. I'd use it to make hot cocoa, but for some reason you can't buy the K-cups with the Ghiarardelli in them, you have to buy the full-sized packets. Maybe it's because the proportions would be off?
The coolest thing about the machine might be the water container. You pour water into the clear container on the left of the machine, and when the water gets low, a blue light flashes from behind the water. It's a really cool effect, especially in a dark kitchen.
Two things I don't like about it: you have to lift the K-cup holder to use it (even if you're just getting water), and the power switch is in the back, next to the power cord, and that makes it a bit difficult to turn it on or off, especially if you have the unit up against the wall like we do. Still, this is a good machine.

where did your room mate find it? I am trying to find one for our church and hopefully for my home as well. I am looking for a vendor who would service it and deliver more K cups for it. No one knows what I'm talking about. Finally I happen to see this blog. Thanks. I am in GA.

Oh, JT, I remain a fanatic for my slightly older Nespresso machine (the curvy one that was the "cute one" back around 2003/4). No more coffee grounds all over the kitchen... I'd swear what I spent on cleaning up after conventional coffee-making outweighs the cost of the coffee pellets.

I can understand the obsession.
I have one of the lesser models at home for myself. I LOVE it. My ex-fiance's brother in law works for a water/coffee company (who services offices) up in MI and he got us one when we were living together that was office sized. So when I moved out of his place I just HAD to get one.
Brenda... you can order them online from the Keurig website. And I order my coffee and tea K-cups from www.coffeewhiz.com

I have its older cousin, the B50. I love it too! I just leave mine on all the time- don't have to wait for it to heat up when I want coffee or hot water. hehe.
There's quite a few places to get the K-cups- Amazon has some, coffeewhiz, bettercoffee.com, keurig.com, ebay. :) I go to the Single serve coffee forums at http://www.singleservecoffeeforums.com for suggestions usually. They're really up to date on what's available and there are reviews of the brewers and some K-cups on the site by the sitemaster?? and the forum posters there.
My personal favourite Kcup? Newman's own special blend Xbold. MmMM~
