We like to play 20 questions with our bloggers, just so you can see what kind of insanity is cooking in our brains. And kitchens. We've already met Nick, Joe, Nicole, and most recently, Jonathan. Let's meet LA-based Sarah J. Gim. Oh. That's me!Do you have a personal blog?
The Delicious Life is where I ramble about food, fun, and random flirtations.
What is your day job, or rather, what do you do when you're not food blogging?
I also pretend to lead a glamorous, glossy life over at Styledash.
How long have you been blogging with Slashfood and what is your favorite post?
Slashfood and I have been "together" since August of 2005. A favorite post? I couldn't! That's like asking a parent to choose her favorite child. Oh, alright. I had a lot of fun teaching myself via the School of Fish series last year on all the various types of fish in sushi.
Do you have any non-food-related, non-blogging hobbies?
Non food-related? Um...I watch football, hit small white balls with a very unwieldy stick (I think they call it "golf") and read. But not all of that at the same time.
Not every foodie does, so we have to ask. Do you cook?
I love to cook, but these days, time to cook is a luxury that doesn't present itself very often.
What is your most prized utensil/gadget in the kitchen?
My knife. Duh.
List three things in your refrigerator right now.
Sriracha, Tabasco, and Cholula.
You have to impress a date with a meal. What are you going to make?
An 8:00 reservation.
What is the last thing you ate?
An egg white omelet with Kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, and Feta cheese.
Confession time – what do you eat that will get you banned from Slashfood?
Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Nachos. Or pastrami Reubens.
Your Mom makes the best _____.
Soup. She will simmer soup for three days to squeeze every molecule of flavor out of bone.
Which chef would you most like to have come into your kitchen and cook you dinner?
It's a tie between Tony Bourdain and Tyler Florence, though I am slightly put off by Tyler's new alliance with Applebee's.
With whom would you most like to eat dinner?
My family.
Your drink of choice?
Absolut Citron and soda. If we're talking non-alcoholic, then sparkling wine. Oh wait...never mind.
Where was your best restaurant dining experience?
That's hard to say because I am not always driven by the food. The entire experience is made up of the food, the service, and the company. I have a hard time remembering beyond a year ago, so if I am allowed to say "best restaurant experience within the last year," I'd say a lovely, long, lingering dinner at Jar in Los Angeles.
The worst?
I cried at the table in a restaurant. It was like a scene out of a movie.
Do you want fries with that?
What a dumb question. Who wrote this question?!?!
What foods do you think should be banished from existence?
Anything that moves on the plate.
I would love to see a true interest in Korean cuisine, but I doubt that will happen. It will take time for the masses to get used to the stank of kimchee. However, I do think that spices will make a big play this year

Woo, now that's classy fridge, hot sauces from three cuisines (though the proper mexican hot sauce would be Tapatio, not that Cholula hussy!).
Korean food is more than just Kimchi and Table top grill (aka Korean BBQ), though at times, it just seems like it's all about the Kimchi and BBQ-especially here in L.A. where all of the restaurants have engaged in some sort of a price war (all you can eat meat $15~)...
I digress though, Tapatio FTW.
