Top 10 creepiest fast-food mascots

Fanpop came up with the brilliant, although somewhat unsettling by its very nature, idea of determining the creepiest fast-food mascots of all time. And there have been some scary ones. Number one on the list is The King, the Burger King mascot who seems to spend the majority of his time lurking, creeping, sneaking and turning people off actually visiting the restaurant for fear of encountering him. The other dubious icons on their list include the "Quiznos Rat/Hamster Thing," The Dominos Noid, Jack (from Jack in the Box), Grimace, Colonel Sanders, Mister Softee, Modern Ronald McDonald, Old-School Ronald McDonald (proto-Ronald) and the Tastee Freez Twins.

I actually kind of like the commercials that star Jack, especially when compared to other fast food commercials. The standard of writing is higher and Jack's delivery is usually great. The other choices, however, all seem like they deserve to be here. Anyone have a favorite from these contenders?

But...

I still go to Burger King. I just eat with my eyes closed.

I remember my daughter begging to go to Chucky cheese for her birthday and when the giant rat came out she hid under the table holding on tight screaming the most God awful screams you ever heard! My boyfriend's son use to beg to go to burger king to see the ape musicians (mechanical apes) and he would scream like that too!!! Then the following week he'd beg to go see them again and promise to be good...as soon as they started singing he'd scream all over again...hysterical!!!!! lol

The noid was alright, but they had alot of weird stuff in the 80s so its ok. Those spongemonkeys were interesting at least. They looked like rats that have some sort of skeletal deformities. Then Ronald always hanging out with the kids, I gotta give it up to an earlier post...shit makes Michael Jackson seem normal. Of course we all know the strangest has to be the king. The fact that Xbox would try to capitalize on this stupid mascot just saddens me. Plus the fact that some guy dressed like a king with a huge head lying in my bed, I'd run out of the bed and get my bat and beat the shit out of him.

In the end though it is all about the food, and I do love JITB and BK so I guess I deal with it by changing the channel.

Do you have any idea what they're exposed to at school on a daily basis Anita Bryant??? That should be the least of your worries, when they are seeing much worse in the media, video games, etc. day in & day out. WAKE UP!

But the ads have done what they were supposed to do...they have gotten people thinking and talking about Burger King!

I really hate Ronald because of the way he hangs around kids like that with that evil smile!

I think these same females who are bashing HIM, would probably enjoy seeing a slender, long-legged beauty queen prancing around doing the same things the "creepy king" is doing ?
