Top 10 creepiest fast-food mascots

Fanpop came up with the brilliant, although somewhat unsettling by its very nature, idea of determining the creepiest fast-food mascots of all time. And there have been some scary ones. Number one on the list is The King, the Burger King mascot who seems to spend the majority of his time lurking, creeping, sneaking and turning people off actually visiting the restaurant for fear of encountering him. The other dubious icons on their list include the "Quiznos Rat/Hamster Thing," The Dominos Noid, Jack (from Jack in the Box), Grimace, Colonel Sanders, Mister Softee, Modern Ronald McDonald, Old-School Ronald McDonald (proto-Ronald) and the Tastee Freez Twins.

I actually kind of like the commercials that star Jack, especially when compared to other fast food commercials. The standard of writing is higher and Jack's delivery is usually great. The other choices, however, all seem like they deserve to be here. Anyone have a favorite from these contenders?

I especially hate the one where he's like 100 feet tall walking around peeking into people's windows King Kong style. He's so repulsive, that I change the channel or leave the room whenever his commercials come on. Coming in with a close second is any Ronald McDonald, followed by the Hamburglar and then Grimace.

The family getting a pizza hug him and get some brown stuff all over themselves. No other mascot actually violates the customers. Stop the insanity...please.

As an older female, I have imagined myself as a gay male, a straight male, & younger female waking up in the morning to this and it is just plain disturbing and creepier than funny! Off with his head!

For my money I think nothing is creepier than the BK chicken that you tell to do things. It just stares at you Kubrick-like(i.e. the masked party in Eyes Wide Shut)until you give it a command. It was on BK's website a few years ago. Then there is that one BK commercial associated with that where the guy is sitting on the couch telling the chicken to do things that kind of ellude to sexual demands. If I remember right I think the chicken is wearing lingere. That chicken commercial/website pretty much takes the cake for creepiness.

I LOVE THE BURGER KING!!! i can see why people think he's creepy, but you gotta look past that. the football commercials are the best! i say burger king did something great when they modernized the old mascot. if you think about it, people watch creepy stuff in movies all the time and still think they're good movies. what's the difference? the king is at least funny and proves himself to be a nice guy, delivering all those burgers to hungry people. he's also got the element of surprise going for him!

Anybody who had ever been stalked or molested as a child would not want this guy around.
Although he might be funny to child molesters.

Heads should be rolling . I quit eating there because the advertising left such a bad taste in my mouth.

I got the impression while reading her post that she was asking more of a question, not making a statement. Amy sounds so angry and pissed off. I got so upset from her cruel reaction I felt the urge to leave a comment on how vile and horrible I found what she wrote. You should not personally attack someone the way she did, it is just awful. [Unless of course they are Britney Spears who asks for it by leaving themselves open.] I think you should try and look more for the good in people and stop being so quick to point out their shortcommings and mistakes. What ever happend to love thy neighbor, do unto others, and being an understanding caring individual? I mean for goodness sake have a heart. It brings sadness to my heart to know that the people of america are that unfriendly, unchristian, and just plain mean. Now I am not the best speller in the world but do you want to attack me for that as if you have never had a spelling or grammer error in your life? How about in 2007 we all resolve to be a little kinder, and instead of jumping on the negative/hurtful bandwagon we lend a helping hand and try saying something positive, nice or kind to one another. It shouldn't be too terribly hard, and you could actually make someone smile making them feel good, which in turn makes you smile and feel good. oh and btw i find the jack in the box and burger king guys the creepiest.
