The bagel diet

At That's Fit, they're always up on the latest dieting and health news, so it's no surprise that they were the first ones to mention that an ex-contestant from Donald Trump's The Apprentice is promoting a new all-bagel diet. Brent Buckman (not to be confused with Bren, from season 3) from season 5 says that he lost 110-lbs on his diet, which involved eating 4 bagels a day, each toasted and spread with low fat margarine, and a few slices of deli meat at dinner. Once a month, you are allowed to have a "cheat" day and eat non-bagel foods. Exercise is recommended, but optional

If you restrict your calorie intake, you can eat virtually anything you want and still lose weight. It might not be a healthy diet, but it will probably be a diet that works.

Brent is an attorney in Florida and you would think that he would, at some point, have been informed of the value of eating fruits and vegetables in addition to bagels. The daily calorie count on this diet is in the 1200-1800 range, but if you want to lose weight, there are far more interesting foods that you can eat than bagels alone.

Obviously eating fruits and vegetables are a better alternative but Brent, like me, doesn't really eat those things. He is actually better than me on that (salad makes me literally gag).

Anyway it's a moot point, I dont think he is promoting this diet anymore. He is just trying to get back to his life.

Repeat first sentence.

This guy can say he lost all the weight he wants...he's still most likely unhealthy and considered overweight (or he's borderlining the normal weight range for his height) anyway. Go to the site and see for yourself. Of course if you were a lard ass that weighed about 400 pounds, 4 bagels a day and some lunch meat would not be enough to feed you, therefore, you'd obviously lost weight. I bet since losing it, he hasn't lost anymore, and if anything he lost mostly muscle mass. And I love how he claimed that at his fattest weight he did 1.5 hours on the treadmill plus swimming on some days (fat folks in swimming suits, bleh). I'm just so sure he did..because he didn't exercise anymore after he lost the first 70 pounds. Stupidest diet I've heard of yet except those "10 day cleansing" ones that only get rid of water weight.
