19. The cereal Mikey likes is Life. It was introduced in by Quaker Oats Co. in 1961 as the cereal which "would help kids grow strong."
20. Julia Child wrote "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in 1961. She then went on to host "The French Chef" in 1963, becoming Americas first celebrity chef. She received the French Legion of Honor in 2000[2] [3] and the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2003. Julia Child also received honorary doctorates from Harvard University, her alma mater Smith College, and several other universities. She sadly passed away in 2004 just two days shy of her 92nd birthday. Her last meal was French Onion soup.

I got 4, 7, 8, 9, 15, 19, & 20 correct.

12-09-2006 @12:46PM LeRoy Bidlo said... Waring did NOT invent the blender. It was perfected by Fred Osius in Racine, Wisconsin in 1935. Bandleader Fred Waring bought marketing rights and sold the beejeezus out of it. It was popular because daiquiris were the drink of choice at that time. The blender was great for whipping strawberries, bananas or other fruits into fantastic daiquiris.
Racine was once home to Oster, Hamilton Beach, Andis, Dremel and other small appliance firms. Now only a few remain.
