Hot Spiced Orange Tea

TeaI've always wanted to hold a 1950s-themed party. Have the house decked out in the style of that era, play music from the decade, and even serve food that was popular at parties back then. I don't have my own apartment right now, but when I move in early '07 I think it's something I'll do, probably next December to make it a retro-themed Christmas party.

I came across this recipe for Hot Spiced Orange Tea on a 50s-oriented web site, and it seems perfect for this time of year.

1 quart boiling water
1/ 4 cup of sugar
10 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
4 tea bags
1/4 cup of o.j.
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 slice of lemon

Combine water, sugar, cloves, and cinnamon sticks in a pan. Boil. Add tea bags and steep for four minutes. Strain, then stir in orange juice, lemon juice and lemon slice. Put back on low heat to keep warm.

The recipe says you can use the cinnamon sticks as muddlers, but I'm not sure if you'll want to use the same ones you boiled in the water, so maybe get 2 more to use after the tea is done. It also says to discard the orange rind, but there isn't an orange rind mentioned in the recipe (?).
