Looking for a fat free, zero calorie, no caffeine, vegetarian option for Thanksgiving? Continuing a three-year tradition, Jones Soda has just unveiled its new 2006 Holiday Pack, which is a complete holiday meal packaged neatly into five little bottles. The flavors include Turkey and Gravy soda, Sweet Potato Soda, Dinner Roll Soda and Pea Soda, as well as an Antacid Flavored Soda, a popular pre-dessert choice of many holiday diners. Jones Soda prides itself on producing accurate profiles of the flavors that it features on its drinks, so you can feel confident that your Turkey and Gravy soda will taste quite real -- as I learned last year, when I sampled a previous pack.
Like all of the prior releases of the holiday packs, sales of this particular limited edition item will go to benefit Toys for Tots. The company also has a dessert pack (possibly a nod to consumers who don't want turkey and gravy soda) on sale at Target that benefits St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Ick, antacid flavored soda? What is it supposed to taste like, Pepto Bismol? I can understand the pea or turkey soda but that's just gross!
Although, I would like to try the Sweet Potato soda. :)

I expect most of the sales will be joke gifts from our relatives. Last time around, it was the Singing Bass, wasn't it? Now, imagine the frivolity going to be heard around the world when someone says "Pea Soda? Ewww" on Christmas morning.

We had Jones send us one of these packs for review on my radio show once, and I have to tell you, they are truly horrible. Just plain ridiculously awful. Especially the green bean casserole. Ugggh. I want to vomit just thinking about it.

My now husband got this for me last year. They are nasty, and not nasty in the pizza that was left on the counter for two days sort of way, but in a "I'm drinking something that tastes and smells like vomit" sort of way.

Of course it will be a success!! Look at how well Bertie Botts all flavor jelly beans did when they came out on the market. They had the linked success of Harry Potter, but that is exactly what this reminds me of, I'd love it if somebody like Harry Potter picked Jones Soda up for marketing.
Peace and harmony for all during the holidays.

We bought some of the Jones Holiday Pack sodas last year, for Thanksgiving, as a joke. It was a huge hit with everyone, especially the guys and boys, who turned the sodas into a challenge game. Yes, some of them tasted awful. But that's the fun of it! And besides, the purchase supports Toys For Tots.

The idea of soda that tastes like any type of meal is disgusting and a bit disturbing.

In my opinion, soda or most drinks should be used to go with meal. Not to taste like the meal. Yuck!! I can't think of anyone I know who'd drink it...and as a gift I think that that'll be like the fruitcake that no one wants just keep passing it year after year until someone says ...alright that's it..and in the trash it goes.

This is the best thing for holiday gag gift parties ever!!! We've taken to several in the last couple of years and people love it. It's always opened before the party is over, and the bottles end up passed around with people daring each other to take a sip. Much fun for the price, and the money goes to a good cause.

Hahaa. Yea, I bought one of these two years ago. It was great fun. The sodas really did taste like the flavors...just carbonated. Truly an original experience. It did end up being a very odd drinking-dare-contest. Great times. I still have a complete box from two years ago...any takers ;)
THOUGH- I must say, I purchased the Dessert pack that they mentioned..and THAT is truly truly amazing!! I'd recommend that one to anyone...yum! Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie, Banana Cream Pie and Cherry Pie. Good times.
