Soy Yogurt may help control type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure

Have you ever heard of soy yogurt? Until I ran across this article I hadn't. I like yogurt a lot, especially when it's a premium product like goat, sheep, or water buffalo yogurt. I even make it myself at home quite often in my yogurt maker. But soy yogurt? I will have to look for it at the market and see if I can find it. Well, soy yogurt may help control type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. It seems that enzymes in the yogurt help regulate blood sugar levels. This could be good news to the 15 million Americans and 150 million people around the world with type 2 diabetes. This discovery was accidental, like many in research. The research team bought a whole bunch of different types of yogurt with various fruit, because they were actually testing which fruit had the best levels of these enzymes. one type they bought was soy yogurt and they found out it had even higher levels of the enzyme than the regular fruit yogurts. Have any of you tried soy yogurt? Is it any good? How does it compare with other types of yogurt?

They have TONS - the soy yogurt selection is almost as big as the regular yogurt selection at the Whole Foods near my house in Seattle. I haven't tried it because I'm into the benefits of probiotics (live active cultures) in regular yogurt.

If people got off their fat a$$es and exercised, it would have more beneficial influence on regulating blood sugar levels.

People are just lazy and are looking for the easy way out all the time; there is no need for these types functional foods, at all.

Personally I would love to delete your comment, but I am highly enjoying all the people tell you that you are an uneducated idiot.

If you would like to come and train me in excercises that will help me lose weight that will not harm my feet and fingers due to the neuralgia from said Diabetes, I would be glad to exercise more often.

If you don't want to help, than I suggest you keep your mouth shut about people with serious health problems.

There are two kinds of people, those who help and those who hurt, which kind of person are you? Be well, Monica

You're obviously ignorant to the side effects of many medications that cause diabetics to gain weight. There are other reasons for weight gain, but I suggest you walk a mile in a diabetic's life before you make such stupid remarks. Sometimes just not gaining any more weight is a remarkable feat. Maybe my first sentence should have just been... You're obviously ignorant.
