It's hard to believe that Burger King ads could get too much worse than the ones that featured The King, but they have gone from weird to weirder. This Eat Like a Snake ad features a man drawn to a triple Whopper that a friend has carelessly abandoned on the lunchroom table. He slithers snakelike across the floor, unhinges his jaw and swallows the sandwich whole.
Usually, even fast food restaurants try to make it seem like diners are savoring the flavor of their foods, but all this one seems to be doing is encouraging binge eating, as snake-man doesn't seem to have tasted the burger at all. It might even be encouraging bulimia on top of compulsive eating, as more than a few people expressed the desire to void their last meal - fast food or not - after watching that burger go down in one mouthful.

I do product testing and surveys from companies sometimes. Last night, I got a survey from Burger King, asking about how much a potential BK product appeals to me.
They're actually thinking about coming out with DEEP FRIED BACON.
You read me right.
It's just like the chicken fries, but they're bacon.
And with dipping sauces, no less.

That's not a commercial for the American market, you should note. That looked like someplace in Malaysia, maybe.

Binge eating? Compulsive eating? Bulimia? ...All from one commercial? I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous.
While that commercial if definitely nasty and not appealing...I see more how it would DETER people rather than compel them to do the above mentioned, which are known to be mental disorders that stem from many areas outside of media advertising.

I saw this commercial a few weeks back. It was just disgusting and disturbing. Honestly, I'm detesting Burger King more and more these days. Last time I was in there I saw nothing on their menu that looked (picture-wise) remotely appetizing. Is it just me, or lately have they been really going for gluttony and over consumption (especially of meat)?

I live in the U.S. and have seen the commercial. It's very weird and can be quite disturbing to those of us who don't like BK or snakes. They've stooped to a new low as far as I'm concerned!

hahaha, that commercial is funny, period. You have to be whacked to think it is going to trigger an eating disorder. It's just plain ol' twisted fun. And what's wrong with a little gluttony every now and then. It's good for the soul.

This commercial is amazing. While I certainly don't condone living off of burgers, I just had to buy one of these today. It was seriously the heaviest burger I have ever held in my hand, and I almost had to unhinge my jaw to eat it. An absolutely hilarious commercial, and a good show from someone at Burger King's ad department.
