Hot on the heels of September's winning Does my blog look good in this? photos, we have the results from the October round of the food blogging photo competition. This time around, the contest was hosted by Emma, a.k.a. The Laughing Gastronome, a New Zealand-based food blogger. As usual, several awards were given out. The winner of the Aesthetics category was a photo of Chili Powder from the Homesick Texan. Pomegranate and peach sorbets in mini meringue baskets took the prize for Originality, while the luscious Caramel Apple Cake from Culinary Concoctions took the top Edibility spot. The overall winner was the picture above of Dan Dan Noodles, snapped by Jenny of The Omnivorous Egg. The noodles are a traditional Sichuan dish and, if you want to give them a try, the recipe is here.
