An Italian study found that people who ate five or more slices of bread a day, or 35 per week, were twice as likely to develop Renal Cell Carcinoma, a leading cause of kidney cancer, as those who ate bread only half as often, or less. The scientists behind the study felt that an increase in blood glucose levels might be a factor in the increased cancer risk. High GI foods are usually things that are highly processed with a lot of sugar or contain a lot of refined white flour. Some sources are saying that the study linked eating white bread with cancer because of this GI link, but "the study did not specify what type of bread [participants] ate," so statements of that sort are just speculation. The study did not actually "establish exactly what in bread may be to blame."
Besides, it seems that a significant portion of the food-related media tries to convince us that in Italy everyone only eats the best bread from their local bakeries, not processed white bread. If the results of the study turned out to be a result of eating three loaves of Wonder Bread each week it might make sense, but baguettes?

Doctors graduate and then learn EVERYTHING from drug reps for the remainder for their careers. In other words they are prescription writers, or gate keepers to you getting something you usually already know you need.
RESEARCH Doctors, are the ONLY ones you can trust and they all work for the Pham companies. So, you can't get an appointment with them.
Eat a balanced diet and live a long life. Doing this will enable you to see you PRESCRIPTION WRITER less.

I think it is all the additives that are killing us. Take out the preservatives and let me worry about my food going bad.

I'VE RESEARCHED ALLOXAN (SPELLING?), THE PRODUCT USED TO BLEACH FLOUR, RICE AND ANYTHING ELSE THEY WANT TO MAKE LOOK PRETTY, REGARDLESS OF THEIR TOXICITY, AND I'D LOOK THERE, FIRST. THIS PRODUCT IS A BLEACH AND SO YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT THAT COULD DO. LOOK AT HIGH FUCTOSE CORN SYRUP - THE RISE IN DIABETES ALIGNS WITH IT'S POPULARITY. GROWTH HORMONES IN MEAT WITH OBESITY. REMEMBER WHEN THE FDA TOOK ASPARTAME OFF THE MARKET IN THE 80'S? RUMSFELD HEADED THAT COMPANY AND THEN IT STARTED SHOWING UP AGAIN WHEN RUMSFELD DID! WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE CAUSES, THE WHO AND WHAT, THAT ARE POISONING THE PLANET, THROW THEM IN JAIL AND TAKE THEIR PROFITS TO USE TOWARD FINDING CURES AND SUPPORTING THOSE STRICKING WITH HEALTH ISSUES FROM INNOCENTLY CONSUMING THEM.

Also tthe article is talking about bread that is processed, has High Fructose Corn Surup (HFCS - a preservative that your body cannot break down, like elestra), bleached and enriched with nutrients - wheat is not it's orginal state. This also includes most cracker that are sold in grocery stores, bagels esp. frozen. Try a natural food store for help.
As a brain cancer survivor this bread change has been a pivotal change that I have had to make - switching to whole grain bread, never white, never HFSC. Oh and switching made me immediatly loose about 5 lbs.

You'd be surpised how much better you'll feel and you'll lose weight too. You're cholesteral will mostly go down too. What is lacking in the white variety of bread is the fiber. Do you really kneed bread anyway?

2) Preservatives is in all food today, if it is so bad for you, why is the age that most people die going up instead of going down
Live your life to the fullest, you only have one.

Perhaps we discovered "brown" (aka wheat) bread later in life. It took some getting used to liking. We didn't know we could not like that stuff that had kept us alive. Hopefully we learned to eat a little of the right stuff (including some vegetables), leave a little on our plates, and realize we will all die of something, even the scientists who keep changing the rules on what to eat. Except for those such as children and those mentally challenged who need assistance with their diets, we all know to eat a little, not ridiculous amounts unless we want the ridiculous amounts to be our clothing size. Oh yeah...I don't recall anyone getting out of this world alive. Death comes to all of us if we wait long enough. We WILL eat something, and my wager is there will be bread in those daily meals, of some color and type. Just don't eat the entire loaf.

The only difference i see is the fillers and chemicals they use instead of the good, quality ingredients. Unless you have a health condition or allergy, every whole food is good in moderation.

Do you think that a carcinogen like bleach will not cause cancer...they bleach it take out everything good and then enriched it with vitamins.........duh...whole wheat bread and the less you mess with the natural the better.......if you shop on the outside walls of the grocery store there you will find the best foods for you....thus being fruits ,vegies, meats, and dairy.....just about the rest of the store is filled with stuff you can't even pronouce........so basics are the best!! And not that you asked for it this is my opinion thank you! And by the way butter is better! Do the research!.I am not putting plastics in my veins with margarine thanks but no thanks!
