At this point, we all know what happens when you combine Mentos and Diet Coke, but what about combinations of other sodas with other candies? Will they produce similar, or perhaps even more spectacular, results? Thanks to a video linked to by Brian, from Candy Addict, we now know the answer to this subset of life's little mysteries. These film makers bravely tested the following combinations in the name of science: candy corn and root beet, Sweetarts and Sprite and Toucan Toes and milk. I think we'll all sleep a little better tonight, although not quite as good as I'll sleep once I learn where I can get some of those Toucan Toes....

10-07-2006 @2:23PM dlz said... i tried to let this go with the sneaking-food-into-the-movies post but i just have to say with regards to candy combined with... one of the largest requests we used to get when i was managing a theatre was a large bucket of popcorn, sprinkled with m & m's half way, buttered, filled to the top, sprinkled with more m & m's and buttered again.
we always knew where those people sat in the theatre b/c the bucket was ALWAYS empty and the bottom was lined with the multicolored residue of m & m stained butter.
