It only took two years, since Carvel bought Cinnabon back in 2004, but the ice cream company is releasing an ice cream version of the famously decadent breakfast buns with its brand new Cinnabon Ice Cream flavor. It is a decadent mix of vanilla ice cream, vanilla crunchies, pound cake pieces, cinnamon and swirls of Cinnabon's cream cheese frosting. It would be hard to go wrong with a flavor combination that sounds that good, and since mix-ins are so popular at so many ice cream shops, consumers are probably more accustomed to the idea of having chunks of cake in their ice cream than they once might have been
The flavor will be going into limited release for the time being, but since 90% of test audiences said that they woulg definitely buy the flavor, it could make it onto the permanent menu before too long.

Ick.
I'm probably the only one who hates cream cheese frosting, so I always have to get my Cinnabons before they frost them.
But why the vanilla crunchies and bits of pound cake? Those aren't part of a Cinnabon.
Me, I'd be perfectly happy if they just swirled a liberal amount of the brown, sticky, cinnamon-y goop from the buns into vanilla ice cream. Hmm, I might have to make ice cream tomorrow and do that.

Carvel is almost as low rent as Baskin Robbins, whose product barely qualifies as "ice cream."
If you're gonna blow your weekly fat allotment on ice cream, why not have something high quality like Haagen Dasz or something from an artisinal producer instead of this filler innundated crap?

I didn't even know Carvel actually made ice cream. I usually buy one of the ice cream cakes for birthday's and things, but I can't imagine buying the ice cream. The ice cream in their cakes don't taste any different than the Walmart brand ice cream. Ben & Jerry's or Haagan Dasz brands are ice cream for the true ice cream connoisseur. Cinnabon? Yuck!
