So you probably won't be eating a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing anytime soon, but there's nothing stopping you from taking a nice fresh mix of other greens to the office for lunch. I just came across this product that will help you make the transport easier: the Fit Fresh Salad Shaker. The box has a place to carry your utensils, but the best parts, though are the built-in features to keep your salad from wilting. There's a space for an ice pack to keep your salad chilled, and a small dispenser to keep your dressing separate until you are ready to eat.
The Fit & Fresh is available online for $9.99 as well as some retail outlets.

E. Coli Cases Traced to Bagged SpinachBacteria Kills One, Sickens Dozens in Eight StatesWASHINGTON (Sept. 15) - An outbreak of E. coli in eight states has left at least one person dead and 50 others sick, federal health officials said Thursday in warning consumers nationwide not to eat bagged fresh spinach. The death occurred in Wisconsin, where 20 people were made ill, state officials said. The outbreak has sickened others - eight of them seriously - in Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon and Utah, according to federal health officials. In California, state health officials were investigating a possible case that could be linked to the outbreak and warned consumers not to eat the produce.
All this can be avoided!!! There are machines out there that can PREVENT this from happening. They are called Pure Prep and Cuisine Clean. We have to keep our loved ones save and this is the way to go. I clean all my vegetables and fruits this way to avoid such outbreaks. To get one of these items click on this website and order one today....

They are hokey, hold only 2 tbs of dressing for 4 cups of salad and are generally the first to clog up and hardest to clean. That said, these containers do an excellent job of keeping your lunch cold until noon, without using an office fridge. What I recommend is simply using the salad container with ice pak, and dispensing yoru dressing from a smaller container nestled inside with the greens. Pop off the cap, dispense your salad, and don't mess with the dressing resevoir. They also have a hot and cold soup and salad unit, and a bento box style with main compartment and two smaller compartments (which I use regularly), as well as a fruit and veggie bento style box with a center cup for dressing or dip.

Luckily I discovered it before I assembled the container yesterday morning or I might have gotten sick. Wonder if the company will replace it?
