Fast food creates "SuperRat" in Britain

uk ratsIf we ever needed a non-health-related reason to not eat fast food, here it is - rats. The estimated rat population in the UK has exploded to 60 million. That's one for every person in living in the UK. However, it's not just the quantity of rats, it's the quality of the rat. They're bigger, badder, and live a lot longer due to more protein in their diets. According to the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, the rats are turning to SuperRats, feeding off of the fast food litter like burgers, fries and kebabs, that Britons throw into the streets.

Alight, so the blame can't be put entirely on fast food. Apparently, Britons throw apple cores, banana and orange peels, bread crusts and chocolate onto the streets, all adding to the SuperDiet of these SuperRats.

Hey, if you're not curbing the fast food littering to keep the rat population down, at least do it for the hedgehog.

It's "blame the corporate capiltalist pigs who foist this junk food swill", rather than look at the morally bankrupt socialist system that instead causes people to care less about taking care of and responsibility for their own cities and streets. "We pay onerous taxes. The government takes care of all that. It's not my responsibility".

Go to France or England and be amazed and appalled at the trash blowing in the wind through the streets and parks, or mounting up on the sidewalk. The people don't care about their own environments because they live in nanny states that purport to take care of them from cradle to grave - yet fail miserably to deliver a standard of living that even a rat would consider comfortable.

The keep britain tidy people come out with a news item like this every so often to keep their name in the public eye. My street certainly gets swept and has the rubbish bins emptied regularly. All big cities have a rat problem, but I don't think its specifically related to fast-food waster.

Me being in west bromwich, an area where 90% of the people are chavs, the streets are reasonably clean.I recently moved from birmingham and those streets were alos reasonably clean. reports like this make Britain seem bad when they arent all that bad
