Cat Cora is the Mini Mart Iron Chef in FHM

I don't normally get my food news from men's mags, but it's not that often that they include chefs amidst the models, either.

Cat Cora is one of the Food Network's Iron Chefs, a latecomer to that show after its first season started to add a bit of gender equality. A talented chef from the South, the 39-year-old specializes in Greek and Mediterranean foods, though she's not above throwing some old fashioned soul food into the mix. She's also not above doing a little grocery shopping at the convenience store, where she picked up some ingredients for FHM's Mini Mart Iron Chef article

With only a few ingredients, she whipped up Jerky Tartar, Ham and Cheese Roulade and Napoleon Krispy Kremes. As much fun as it would be to see Krispy Kremes as the secret ingredient on Iron Chef, none of these recipes would have gotten her a win, so don't expect to be too inspired by the food in the piece and just check it out if you want to check out Cat.

You know, as cute as Ming Tsai is, you don't see him parading around in Playgirl, do you?

Cat Cora, a woman who is easily 10 years older than most woman shown in FHM, is showcased (beautifully) and here you go complaining. Please stop, it's petty...

Then again, if it were Tyler Florence dressed up all snazzy with a shirt that was unbuttoned I don't think you'd have an issue with that...

Instead we have the trollBoyz once again acting like breasts were just invented...and just for them. Not to mention that they object when a person who actually possesses breasts has an opinion about the appropriateness of cleavage as a mandatory part of every moment of the day, and every valid female persona.

And crap that barely qualifies as food. (which I note you even say is so lame that you only recommend the piece if you are after the souffled boobs)

Boring and just reinforces the boyChildish obsession with breasts.

Who gives a damned what age Cat is? What I care about is that she isn't Rachael Ray who is just a media personality, she is actually a professional chef.

I have worked in professional kitchens, and let me tell you, the crap that goes on in those kitchens is just nasty. Yep. Sexual harrassment. And the way for a woman to deal with it is to take absolutely NO SHIT from the men and be as tough, as they are. The way to deal with it is to give no quarter, and be stronger, faster, smarter, and a better cook than the men, and then they will leave you alone.

I guarantee you, Cat Cora just lost a lot of male chefs' respect from this article. She's cute, yeah, so what? So's Anthony Bourdain, but I don't see him strutting around half dressed just to get his name out there.

So don't tell me to "get the stick out of my butt." I've actually got culinary training and have worked in professional kitchens and that is the experience I am drawing on in formulating my opinion. You don't like that, too bad, but I am not going just not comment because some guy likes breasts.

She is an adult and she choose to take some glamor pictures and people are getting their panties in a bunch acting like it's going to turn back 200 years of sexual harassment and exploitation of women. Just because guys like pictures of attractive women doesn't mean guys look at the woman as a sex object, they appreciate the beauty of the woman. Stop your stereotyping of men.

For what it's worth, I'm a straight guy who thinks Chef Cora is hot in her non-Photoshopped version on "Iron Chef America", whatever her age is, and finds the irony of a lesbian flaunting her cleavage in a laddie mag to be quite delightful. And I quite enjoyed the Rachael Ray pictorial - so it's not that I have anything against a woman marketing herself by whatever means she can live with. But unlike the "bobblehead", Cora struck me as having a personal and culinary dignity that has been demeaned by this tawdry leg show. And while she doesn't necessarily owe anything to other women in the profession, let's not kid ourselves that this kind of thing doesn't exacerbate what is already a particularly disrespectful environment for them.

There are narrow minded people who think women, especially attractive ones, are not as suitable for some professions. They might also think that if they are successful it's due to assets other than their business talents. They are wrong to think than gender or appearance makes them unsuitable for their tasks at work.

They are no more wrong than people who that a successful women who happens to show off her physical appearance wipes out all her other accomplishments. Shame on them if they judge Cat's kitchen talents based on something outside the kitchen. Should we beat up on her for her politics or Greek heritage while we're at it?

And in case anyone missed it, the text with the photos is funny. I liked the meatballs made with sausage and fresh breadcrumbs cooked on the hot dog rollers. What a great way to get your meatballs browned on all sides!
While the bacon wrapped spam filet is attractive (bacon completely hides the spam ) you couldn't pay me to try it. She even looks afraid to open the can.
