SIV gives the new restaurant at the Hotel Casa Del Mar, Oceanfront, two stars (**). Macau Street, a cafe in Monterey Park, serves lunch through late night.

Dont know about the octopus, but open faces sandwiches are a good change and makes a great compliment to a afternoon luncheon or even a late supper for two or a party of 50!
