This is Slashfood, so we blog about food here. Usually, though, it's about food we eat.
This is about food we...don't eat. We put it on our faces. Or in our hair. Or maybe smear it all over our thighs.
Dole, the company that's known for fruits and vegetables, has a website that is dedicated to nutrition called the Nutrition Institute that offers nutrition news, food facts, recipes, and resources. Basically, it is a one stop nutrition portal. Within that site, there is the Dole Spa, that offers information about eating foods to help not only your inner health, but your outer health as well. Additionally, the Dole Spa has "recipes" for natural beauty treatments made from fruits and vegetables. Have some extra brown sugar or papaya laying around? Dole Sa tells you how to use it:
- Lana'i Pineapple Body Scrub
- Strawberry Body Smoothie
- Indian Mangocado Body Polish
- Brown Sugar Jojoba Scrub
- Banana Bread Head
- Caribbean Conditioner
- Green Goddess Mask
- After-Beach Banana Mask
- Piña Party Peel
- Good Morning Mask
- Papaya Peel
- Queen Bee Cleanser
- Green Tea Tonic
