Nintendo DS Lite could make you an Iron Chef

nintendo ds lite cooking navigator

Damn, the Japanese are lucky! For the Nintendo DS Lite's Touch Generation line, they have something called the Cooking Navigator. Not a video game, but an instructional program. A chef inside barks instructions at you so that you can cook by hearing (and fear, I guess, a la Gordon Ramsay). Because it is voice respondent, you reply back to the instructions letting it know that you're ready to move on, so yes, it keeps up with you as you're cooking. It includes recipes that have nutritional information as well as photos.

When the Cooking Navigator comes to the US, I hope it has all Japanese recipes.

It makes it seem like it's an aggressive terrier of a device - yipping at you when you cut the onion wrong...
