Haagen-Dazs' new flavor will be Sticky Toffee Pudding

sticky toffee puddingI'll keep my opinion about this Haagen-Dazs contest being turned into an entire show on the Food Network to myself for now. The more important part of this story is that the winner of Food Network's SCOOP! contest to pick the next Haagen-Dazs ice cream flavor was chosen. The winning flavor is Sticky Toffee Pudding and will be sold as a limited-edition flavor in grocery stores.

Sticky Toffee Pudding is a dessert of British origin, consisting of a steamed brown sugar cake with a toffee sauce contained within itself. Haagen-Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream is made from a creamy vanilla ice cream base with chunks of moist, brown sugary cake with swirls of gooey toffee sauce.

We have tried to buy the Sticky Toffee Pudding flavor in Florida and could not find it at stores that carry Haagen-Dazs. We bought some Caramel Praline Crunch yogurt that was really good though. Still looking and can't wait to try the sticky stuff. Joann

second, i tried the sticky toffee flavor last night, now i LOVE ice cream to the point of "could eat it 3x a day every day for life" and i wasn't too impressed with this one. it wasn't too sweet, which is good, but there was nothing in the base or cake pieces that wowed me...i would go with the creme brulee or ben and jerry's oatmeal cookie chunk far before this one
