All-cookie picnic

Eleni's Cookies has some of the loveliest, hand-decorated cookies that you're likely to find anywhere, but it seems like most people only think about having decorated cookies around some of the winter holidays, like Christmas and Valentine's Day. This is too bad because they're missing out on some of Eleni's more fun designs, like this Cookie Cookout box. It has cookies decorated like ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, lemonade, watermelons, burgers, fries, hot dogs and even a grill and ice chest! There are a total of 19 cookies in the tin, so you may have to share. Eleni's also has a summer beach set, a Mexican fiesta and a stars and stripes collection, which would certainly be a huge hit at a summer party.

A friend of mine (a vet student, so obviously she doesn't have much money) always makes these elaborately decorated cookies for special occasions, and they're always a hit! She made rattles and baby bottles as favors for my baby shower. They were so cute that I didn't want to eat them!

Eleni's Cookies and FlourPot cookies are nice, but are QUINTUPLE the price of home-made! (If not higher!) And if home baked cookies aren't your thing... the kind that come in a roll in your dairy case that you slice and put onto a cookie sheet and bake taste just as delicious as any gourmet cookie place. And your wallet won't hurt as much either! ~ Kelly

I can't imagine anybody spending $60 on cookies! If you have that kind of money to spend, bake and decorate the tube cookies yourself, and donate the reminder of the $60 to a deserving charity!
