It may be still be cool outside now, but the day is inevitably going to quickly heat up in the next few hours. The very thought of going out and working in the summer heat is tiring, but looking at this decadent strawberry ice cream from Cream Puffs in Venice is enough to make me want to work up a sweat and have a reason to cool down. It promises to be sweet, smooth and oh-so refreshing. The ice cream, which is based on a recipe from Luscious Berry Desserts, gets its rich texture from the addition of very thick crème fraîche, and the flavor of the berries is heightened with the addition of a bit of lemon, lemon zest and coconut extract.
