Since I'm on a bit of a Champagne kick because of French Women, and Prosecco seems to be the "it" drink for summer, Häagen Dazs's new Limited Edition flavor is more than perfect for keeping it cool this season: Strawberries and Marc de Champagne.
Marc de Champagne is a type of Champagne that is made in the same way that regular Champagne is made. However, it is popular with chefs, because it does not contain bubbles, which can ruin food. The ice cream contains real strawberry chunks, just like Häagen Daazs regular Strawberry ice cream, and of course, the flavor of the Marc de Champagne.
The ice cream flavor is a limited edition and will only be available this summer.

It is a distilate, in essence a brandy, made with the leftover grapes skins and stems from the pressing of the grapes they used to make Champagne. Many other types of Marc are also made with leftovers from wine production in many regions. Most of the time it is a somewhat rough brandy if served on its own, but it is used a lot in cooking.
