British Bloggers Head to Henley

Last year a bunch (or it is a munch? or how about a brunch?) of Brit-bloggers met-up at the Henley Royal Regatta and had an an almighty good time picnicking on the banks of the Thames. And guess what? They (and that includes me) are doing it again this year. This Saturday to be precise.

The weather looks like it is going to be hot; the food preparations are underway; the drinks orders are in (Pimms all the way this year; although I might grab a beer or two) and the invites have garnered an impressive selection of bloggers. If you are passing (we'll be the loud lot with the most impressive food spread along the bank) do say hello.

The picture here is a practice run for some 'rustic' tarts (dainty I can't do) made with Merchant Gourmet Dulce de Leche that I might take along. (Wonder if I should bury a slither of banana under the caramel?) My main contribution though is going to be a Prosciutto and Artichoke Schiacciate which I'll blog about when I make it on Friday.

It would be nice, now, to drizzle on a little something "sour-ish" like a sweetened creme fraiche... or does that start to become dainty?
