How to make really cute food... for your pet

CuteOverload isn't about food unless cute animals are eating it. A post yesterday detailed how to make a miniature burger for your pet hamster. Using a little coring tool, simply punch out buns, cheese and ham, toss on a little parsley for lettuce, and your mini sammie - as Rachael Ray, who loves those cutesy expressions, would say - is good to go! And don't worry about the inclusion of ham, because hamsters are omnivorous and do sometimes eat meat. If you want your little hamster to stick to a vegetarian diet, just swap the "patty" out with a small carrot round instead. Either way, a little burger is a little more interesting, not to mention a bit healthier, than most gourmet pet foods.

I was amazed when I went in, it was a Bakery in the store making all sorts of treats just like a real person bakery, but for animals. This is a must see if you love animals. I included the web site link they had on thier post card i took off the desk. Look and have fun.

You are wrong my friend. Hamsters are omnivores. They will not only eat roots and vegetation, but supplement their diets with bugs. Moths, worms, beetles, you name it. They will also eat carrion. If I had a hamster and a lot of time I would make him mini food all day. But alas...I have a job...working with animals!

Not only is it ridiculous to think that road rage is the next FMLA disorder for people that don't want to work will use, but its ridiculous to think about making special little treats for hamsters and such. I love my little pug but this is insane!!

For those who have no "human" children, their pets can be the equivalent of children to them. I see nothing wrong with spoiling your pets if that is your preference.

My husband and I have adopted "feral" pets that we feed in our backyard. Ducks, squirrels, and a variety of birds. A little more kindness in this world, whether towards humans or animals, is certainly necessary.

It's certainly more acceptable then spending ones time maiming animals or other people.

Apparently we were all interested, so don't talk about anyone else. At least they are honest. The rest of us are closet lovers of "tiny food for pets" people.

If you read it or paid attention when you read it, you would know that all that they've really come up with is that what the general public has been calling road rage is REALLY a condition called intermittant explosive disorder. I work in the mental health industry, and I've never heard of anyone asking for FMLA over Intermittant Explosive Disorder. Rather, most people spend time trying to prove they don't have it. It's a bit of a stigmatizing diagnosis.

When it comes to hamsters and gerbils the ones who have them as pets are children. I think this is an awesome fun activity that they could do for their pet. Why is it when someone comes up with a neat idea some people always have to be negative about it?

She looked like a skunk. I named her Flower. I made her all sorts of picnic food and put a little blanket actually a scrap of fabric i had leftover from making my dog his hallowween costume, but anyway, I put all this food on the blanket, even a pop-cap full of lemonade for my little Flower. I watched Flower enjoy her picnic then went to my friends house to play. when i came home, my brother said his snake enjoyed the picnic as well. Flower was a lump in the snakes tummy.
