Snickers satisfies you the same way it always has

So I'm in line at the supermarket today (Boar's Head Roasted Chicken...mmmmmmm), and in the candy section I notice the Snickers With Almond bars. I've had them before, and I like them a lot. More than the regular Snickers, in fact. I see that the wrapper has been redesigned slightly, and it now comes with the assurance that it's "Now More Satisfying!" So I grab one. I'm curious how it's "more satisfying" than it already was. I mean, it doesn't say anything about it being made differently or having more almonds or more chocolate covering. It just says "Now More Satisfying!" Does it mean just in general, as in after eating it you somehow feel more content with your life? You feel more secure in your love life and you're confident that your career is going in the same direction?

I just ate it, and it, um, tastes exactly the same.

6-11-2006 @12:56PM Dr. Electro said... Funny thing, Bob. I had noticed the same thing. Snickers is still my favorite whether it has peanuts or almonds. Candy wrapper hype is sliding down to a whole new level. As the candy companies vie for a larger market share they put more gimmicks in the candy and more starburst proclamations on the wrappers.

I won't stop eating Snickers even though I am learning to ignore the B.S. on the wrapper.
