I have to admit that I am a wee bit of a whore to sexy/smart/cute/pretty packaging. The only soda I drink is Diet Coke, and that only on occasion now as I am successfully weaning myself from it. However, I couldn't resist Izze's Sparkling Apple soda in it unusual can size (not the usual 12 oz soda cans), the simplicity of the straight sided shape, the bright green color, and the logo.
As far as taste, though, I was not as impressed by what was inside as I was by the outside. The drink is definitely sparkly, and though it certainly tasted like an apple, I think I was expecting a bit more of a strongly apple flavor. Perhaps my palate has become numb to truly "natural" flavors by years and years of slavery to artifical sweeteners and chemical flavorings.
I'll probably try it again when I have sufficiently "quit" Coke.

I haven't tried Izze's apple (although this actually tempts me a little) but I have tried: Grapefruit, Lemon, Clementine, Pear, and Blackberry.
The blackberry and the clementine are my favorites, but the pear has the strongest, most distinct flavor to me.
I'd imagine the problem with apple is that apple juice is such a common sweetener that we're a little numb to the flavor. Pear has a similar problem, but it somehow works here.

I just tried the Blueberry version this weekend. It was okay...but definately left something to be desired. I haven't seen them around here, but might like to try the clementine or the pear. It is very cute packaging though. I'm drawn to pretty colors...

I've had different experiences with different flavors. The blackberry, pomegranate, and lemon are my favorites. Accidentally bought pear instead of lemon once and was very disappointed...I don't think pear was ever meant to be mixed with carbonation like that.
For the record, I haven't been drinking soft drinks for about six months now, but I liked the same flavors of Izze back when I was also having soft drinks. The major difference I've noticed is being repulsed by the soft drinks whenever I give in to a random craving for them.
The Izze cans are indeed cute, but too small for me. I usually get the bottles instead.

I love Izze. I've been trying to get my family to try them out. My favorites are lemon and grapefruit. Close second are blueberry and clementine. I'll definately be on the look out for apple. I too still drink Diet Coke. I also buy the bottles of Izze since that's the only one I can find around here.

Jones sodas makes a pretty flavorful diet (and regular) green apple soda. Target sells it in 12-packs for $3 or $4.
But I agree, Izze has a nice looking can.
Lately I've been trying to wean myself off Diet Coke and anything else with non-natural ingredients. Diet Hansens is about the only thing left in the diet variety. I did see that 7-Up has gone to an "all natural" formulation but not in the diet variety. It's all probably meaningless anyway but I'm trying to avoid the nasty benzoates.

I've been rather successful at putting down the diet coke. I used to drink several cans a day and now only drink several cans a week. I bought some gallon sized tea bags from Costco and now make a gallon of iced tea and drink that. I have also been drinking more milk, at least a full glass a day.
I remember trying to get a friend who was trying to loose weight to switch from regular coke to diet and he said that diet coke tasted like rusty nails. Now when I drink it I can see where he got that impression.
I really only drink it for the caffene, as I don't like coffee. I would have a diet coke in the morning, with lunch, as a pick me up around 2pm, and with dinner. Now I bring a thermous of green/black tea mix to work and drink that through the morning. With lunch I have water, or ice tea if we go to a place that makes decent tea, and rarely a diet coke (usually if the place has funny tasting water.) As a 2pm pick me up I use ZippFizz in water. With dinner I have milk or iced tea. This is my usual routine on work days.

My 15-year-old son is the soda expert in the house. He like Izze, but not every flavor. He prefers Switch, which is carbonated fruit juice. Flavors are more intense.
