Friday, June 2nd, is National Doughnut Day. It has been celebrated since 1938, when the day was originally devised to raise funds during the Great Depression. Krispy Kreme, established in 1937, seems to have been participating in this "holiday" since its inception and, to celebrate, will be giving away free doughnuts at most of its US locations on Friday! My wife and I are Salvation Army Officers serving in Romania and there are no Kripy Kremes here. My personal favorite is of course the white cream filled.
Is it possible that you could put us in touch with the franchise folks and we could see what it might cost to do a franchise here to support The Salvation Army here in its work among the poor.

National Donut Day? Well, no wonder we are all so...round like a donut! Seriously, though, we love donuts at this house! Must be all that fat, and sugar, boy they taste so yummy! Plain fresh cake donuts are our favorites, but chocolate iced cake, apple fritters, sour cream glazed also come to visit this home. Mrs.G.Chicoine

No Krispy Kreme in Waco, TX. They shut down. However, we are not hurting. We have a wonderful donut shop called Shipley's Donuts. If you have one in your area, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Too bad they don't make a "GLUTEN-FREE" doughnut for us Celiac sufferers. The Doughnut is one of the HARDEST THINGS I had to give up, here in Huntsville, AL.
20There is a wonderful Spudnuts in C'Ville VA if your ever that way. They took out the Krispy Cream in C'Ville the closest to us is 50 miles away. BUT we have 9 starbucks 30 min away-lol go figure. EVERY ONE OUT THER HAVE A DOUGHNUT FOR ME! They are a no no for me.
